No fear!
Hello there! Lets talk about storming or more accurately, stealing, the opponent's flag. Works if you play on CTF (Capture The Flag) mode.
First... STORM!! Haha! Yeah, just go get the flag. But remember, the running part is where you get in trouble. So, watch your surrounding! Even better if you have 4 eyes! Which is impossible.
Usually, getting the flag is easy, but passing the opponent's spawn points is a bit tricky. Especially when a pro fragger suddenly spawn behind you. Do the bunny hops! Jumping while running increases your speed, I don't know why. What I know is that its useful!
Also, never run in a straight line when you have the flag! Fraggers in Sauerbraten are smart ones! Always have the right prediction of their opponent's next move! Kinda like Chess but in FPS.
So, you should do riflejumps across walls, maybe even fences, or slip through corners and holes on walls! Of course depend on the map structure, to maneuver around the map easily, memorize the maps as I told you in some other previous posts!
I hope it works for you! Until then, farewell!

A week passed!
H-Hey! I'm sorry for not telling you that I was taking a week break! Well, I'm back now. I got a couple of interesting news though.
First, we got some new members! Theres like 3-4 of them but I only know one, |Anyson.A|Duke. My advisor, Stefano, told me he recruited another 2, told me their IGN (In-Game Name) but I don't know their name with the Anyson clan tag on so I can't really put their name on the member list.
Second, I'm not really playing Sauerbraten anymore, I still do but I am not really able to get on most of the time (busy trying something new). But fear not! I'll still keep you posted on the news, tips and tricks!
Oh! Also wanted to tell you I'm playing Wakfu. Its an RPG turn-based game. Kinda fun, with 12 or 14 classes/characters to play with! I'm enjoying it so far! Almost like Maplestory. So if you are playing it or gonna play it, sure try find and join me in Remington server!
And thats all for now! I'll continue posting for sure. Since, school is no longer a big problem! Have fun fragging and collecting!

Ping is the Internet Connection!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! I've heard of a lot of ping complaints for a long time already. I'm kinda bit annoyed by the complaints, well, usually..
So let me tell you this, when someone sees that you are lagging/teleporting, you are also seeing him as he lags/teleports too. So I guess its fair? Well thats my opinion!
Now the server distance between the fragger and the server. I am in Asia and for example the server is in Europe. My usual ping on EU servers are usually 300-500 which is a bit laggy but still playable. So don't blame it on me!
Well, *clears throat* Unless if you can suggest or make one server closer to me. That could be nice! Yeah, you should just do that! (I'm just kidding by the way.)
Let me give you an advice, never accuse or blame someone if you don't know whats going on with that person. So yeah, save your typing speed to tap W, A, S, D and Attack Mouse Button. Hopefully you'll be able to settle some scores!
Until then, have fun fragging and collecting!
Anyson Menu!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! Hmm, I wonder if you are bored out of the menu. If you have played Sauerbraten since the Trooper Edition release to Collect Edition, you'll realize the Main Menu is the same, the difference is just the Crosshair menu.
Now! I, |Anyson.L|Ash, also known as Tryan, successfully modified my main menu including the cursor! I'm so proud of myself.. So heres one of the screenshot!
Icons and GUI are from Cito Justice mod.
In Linux, just modify or replace the files in Sauerbraten --> Data folder. If you want to change the icons, you may find them in Sauerbraten --> Packages --> icons. So yeah good luck with it!
By the way, this is just to show you what you can modify in Sauerbraten. As far as I know, you can modify almost everything! Which is actually very cool..
Thats all for now! Again, I wish you a good luck with your menu if you will try to modify it! Have fun fragging and collecting! Oh! And also, don't forget to backup the files!

Memorizing maps and moves!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! Having a hard time fragging? Hmm...
Of course! You don't even know the map then how are you suppose to play the game? Also dodging in the same place doesn't help.
So it requires you to at least know where to go, wheres the flags or bases and routes! How? Theres some way to inspect the maps! I usually inspect and experiment the maps while playing it online with the rest of the fraggers.
But if you want to look around the map without getting frag, you should load a map by going into the main menu and click on 'Bot Match' and reduce the bot number to '0'.
Then the next thing you need to do is choose a mode and map! Now you can look around without any disturbance! Now if you have mastered the rifle jump or rocket jumping you may use that to find special spots! Well... hopefully..
Now! Are you spamming 'A', 'D' and 'Spacebar' going left and right while jumping? No, don't do that for too long, your opponent will be able to predict that you will jump to the left and put his/her crosshair there first waiting for your turn.
So move randomly! As in chess they call it an 'Unorthodox' move. Which means that it is an unexpected move. I would rather say its unpredictable. Then, try to move in a circle around your opponent. Make him/her go dizzy dazzy!
You might need to practice your accuracy in order to do this. Its quite hard to aim while moving around your opponent. Now take note, the enemy might counter you by moving somewhere else just like you. So be careful!
Well, thats all for now! Have fun fragging and collecting!

Binding keys!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! Its just going to be a quick post about key binding! I suppose you know what it means. If not, its where you bind a key for command(s).
For example:
Type in: /bind P [sayteam Sorry for the teamkill!!]
Or go in Options --> autoexec.cfg and type in:
bind P [sayteam Sorry for the teamkill!!]
Then, click on Save.
Now! To test it out, you could just press P and it'll automatically team say:
Tryan: Sorry for the teamkill!! (As an example.)
The best is for you to test it out in a game/match, and when you accidently shot a teammate, just press P and it'll do it for ya!
Its useful if your a full-time fragger who spends all ammunition rather than those who just sit in a team and chat with their friends all day long. Bothers me everytime.... But still, its just a game, don't take things serious.
Unless if necessary of course. You may also bind other commands too! Sauerbraten has a lot of commands for you to bind with! Well, at least more than 5-10.. So I hope it helps you improve your Kill per Death instead of Words per Death.
Till' then! Have fun fragging and collecting!

Register your name!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! Someone is copying your name? Annoyed by it? HA! Serve you- No, well, if your in the latest Sauerbraten (Collect Edition), you can register your name for a name-protection! But of course its only available for some servers, not all.
But registering gives you more than only a name-protection! You are also given one of the feature, which is team voice chat! I'm not really sure how it works (I got no mic). But it seems fun for a try!
Also, you are given some other features, which I will not list it here but you can view it in the Server Host website! Which is the ogros.org! If you would like to register, you may do so by going to the Server Account Registration on the left side of the website.
There, you may view the features available to you if you register in their servers! If you wanna go straight to the registration, scroll down till' you see the registration form and fill them in!
The next step is to confirm the registration in your email! Then wait for their confirmation for your email. Then, follow their instruction in the email and BAM! join their server(s) and log in!
Ha! Well thats all for now! Have fun fragging and collecting!

Crosshair and sensitivity!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! In Sauerbraten, your controls are your best friend. So is your crosshair and mouse sensitivity! In the latest Sauerbraten release which is the Collect Edition, also with Justice Edition, you are able to pick one crosshair from some that are available in the crosshair menu.
Your gameplay should be better if the crosshair is suitable with your style of gameplay. Which means it affects your aim, accuracy, etc... So give all the crosshairs a few frags to test it out!
The same goes with your mouse sensitivity! You can change the mouse sensitivity in the Options Menu. Which goes under Options --> Mouse. Change the mouse sensitivity by changing the numbers!
I usually jump around often so I change my mouse sensitivity in each different maps. Depends on how you play the game of course. About the crosshairs... If you do not like the available crosshairs, you can load some custom crosshairs.
You may either download custom crosshair made by random fraggers/clans or you can even make one yourself! Even so, I am not sure how to do so since I myself don't know how to do that... To be honest.. I really am not sure.
Well, these 2 are based on my experience of fragging in Sauerbraten. So I hope it helps you! Thats all for now then! Have fun fragging and collecting!

Collect Edition bugs?
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! Since the release of the new Sauerbraten (Collect Edition), fraggers have been complaining about bugs, but this one isn't a bug.
Its when fraggers realized their fps (frames per second) is lower than usual. Just some performance issue, quite simple! Disable V-sync in the Options Menu.
Options ---> Display
and disable V-sync.
My regular frames per second on Trooper and Justice is 200! But in Collect its 60.. Yet! Disabled V-sync and it reached 200! About the other bugs, you MIGHT be able to fix it maybe by changing or replacing or write some commands on some files or folders.
If you don't know how, then you should wait, hopefully the Developer(s) will release a fix/patch. If not, someone would or might share some information about it.
So far, I'm using the Linux version of Collect Edition with no problems at all! Some Mac users might find incomplete maps or bugs though. Windows.... I haven't heard of any complaints yet, but who knows?
Try to keep checking the downloads on Sourceforge for an update maybe?
Well thats all for now I suppose! Have fun fragging and collecting!

Collect skulls is fun!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! Somehow, I had a lot of fun in Collect Edition! Yes, it doesn't really make a difference between Collectors Edition and Justice Edition.
Yet, its still fun as it has Collect as the new game mode! It is where you frag enemies and collect their skull(s), then score the skull(s) at the enemy base! If the enemy is carrying one or more skulls from your team, you can frag him and collect his and your team's skull(s) to prevent him from scoring!
One interesting thing about this mode is the ability for fraggers to subtract or reduce their opponent's score by standing around their base! But of course they can do that to your team too, so beware!
The difference between this game mode and the rest is what that makes it interesting and different, currently in Collect Edition, everyone wants to try it out! In my opinion, I guess that the developer(s) did a great job for Collect Edition!
But yeah the sounds are a bit.. weird and cranky... Well, I'm getting use to it. If you dislike it you can change the sounds by swapping or replacing the sound files.
Thats all for now! Have fun fragging and collecting!

Collect Edition!!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! Now this! This is something worth a try! A new Sauerbraten edition has just been released! Its the Collect Edition! Righty then, I'll tell you the new stuffs!
Teammates! Now you can see your teammates on your minimap! Which is useful in some situation of course! But thats not really a big deal! They added some new, highly detailed maps too!
The weapons! The only different thing about the weapons are the sound, explosion, shots and jump-pads. No crouching... But hey, I don't think crouching works in this game since its a very fast-paced game.
About the game modes, they added a few game modes based on collecting skulls and score them in the enemy base. You'll understand more if you dig in the Collect Edition.
Not much of a change though. Could be better! But hey, lets just enjoy this one for some time!
:Collect Edition download:
Thats all for now! Enjoy fragging and collecting!

Trooper is back!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! I got a good news! The servers are back! Well, the previous servers. But still, better than nothing! Now the servers are increased from 2 servers to 7!
Sure they got a co-op edit mode server, but unfortunately its /setmaster feature is disabled for the server message said its because of idiots who doesn't know how to be a good master.
Now! Lets stop complaining about trollers! Theres nothing you can do to stop these. But hey! We need more open servers for coop edit, for the best.
Well.... I guess thats all. Theres not much of a new thing going on in Sauer. Both Sauerbraten editions. Hopefully something new will pop-out. So have fun and Happy Fragging!

Third-Person campers!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! I'm just going to show you a simple advantage for the.. campers... who hide behind boxes.. Yeah! Its nothing really but it is indeed useful if you know how to use it!
Sauerbraten has a feature to turn your view from a First-Person to a Third-Person perspective.. You can simply turn it to Third-Person by pressing '9', yes, number 9.
Note: Its not good if you will be using it for a duel or a battle as its not the same Third-Person like Gears of War as an example.
However, I heard you can change the camera view of the Third-Person by changing or adding some command lines in one of the text/command files in the Sauerbraten directory folder.
Its useful if your hiding behind a box and want to know if someone is coming from the other side of the box. Yeah...
Thats all then! I hope it helps you! Have fun and Happy Fragging!

Record a video!
Hello there fraggers and non-fraggers! To those who have played Sauerbraten, have you ever thought to record a gameplay? Maybe even upload it into Youtube!
If you didn't know yet, Sauerbraten has a built-in recorder. To record a video you'll have to type /movie (moviename). To stop the recording just simply type /movie . Easy isn't?
So, why don't Anyson Clan record a video, maybe showing the tricks and special spots in Sauerbraten? Because it lags, the video freeze every 5-10 seconds
"Maybe because of low computer power". However, you can still use other recording software.
Usually Windows users use Fraps to record gameplays, Linux users... I'm not sure but FFMPEG or RecordMyDesktop most likely are the only options available. Mac OS, I'm sorry I don't know much about Mac. You should ask other fraggers who uses Mac.
For more information about the built-in recorder you may visit Sauerbraten Docs.
Thats all for now! Have fun and Happy New Year Fragging!
